Jurgen Klopp has taken his first training session as Liverpool manager after arriving at Melwood on Monday morning.

The 48-year-old joined up with those in the Liverpool squad not involved in international football this weekend.

Klopp, who agreed a three-year deal on Thursday, got his first opportunity to work with Daniel Sturridge, Lucas Leiva, Alberto Moreno and Kolo Toure ahead of Saturday's trip to Tottenham.

James Milner was also present at Melwood after being rested by Roy Hodgson for England's final European Qualifier against Lithuania.

However, the majority of Liverpool's first-team squad were not available for training. Nine senior players are currently out on international duty, while Joe Gomez and Jordon Ibe are away training with the England U21s ahead of Tuesday's match against Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson, Christian Benteke and Phillipe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren and Roberto Firmino are all nursing injuries.
